Stable cold, even when the plant stops

Cold rooms and warehouses, refrigerated transport, pharmaceuticals, food: a passive thermal battery that protects the goods and cuts consumption.

1 · The problem

The most energy-hungry cubic metre in the world

Refrigerated warehouses, frozen-food distribution centres and food cold rooms are the sector with the highest energy consumption per cubic metre. Every door opening lets heat in, every internal load adds to it, and the compressors chase. If the plant stops, the goods are at risk within hours.

2 · How TI-SKIN solves it

Ceilings and wall linings that store cold

Cold −23 and Cold −20 panels are installed on the ceiling and walls inside the room. The reflective face cuts more than 90% of the incoming heat flow; the core, which changes state at the operating temperature, absorbs the heat from door openings and loads and gives it back to the compressors when they run at peak efficiency. In case of failure or blackout the core becomes a safety thermal storage: the temperature rises slowly, for hours.

20-35%lower energy costs, with a completely passive solution
> 90%of incoming heat flow cut by the reflective component
−85%heat infiltration from door openings and internal loads
0additional mechanical, hydraulic or electrical components
3 · What you get

Quality protected, costs reduced, refrigeration at peak efficiency

Protect food and medicines

Storage stabilises temperatures, drastically slows the rise and provides an emergency thermal reserve in case of power cut or breakdown.

Buy energy when it costs less

With storage flexibility, operators can store cold in the cheap hours and use it during price peaks.

More efficient compressors

Lower ambient temperatures, compressors at their design efficiency, more heat removed in less time thanks to the core's transfer speed.

4 · The applications

From 0 °C to −23 °C

Positive-temperature rooms

From 0 to 10 °C: produce, dairy, laboratories and production areas.

Negative-temperature warehouses

From −18 to −23 °C: frozen food, distribution centres, freezers.

Refrigerated transport

Vans and trucks: extra autonomy during deliveries and stops.

Pharmaceuticals and healthcare

Temperature-controlled storage with resilience in case of failure.
